Eternity (Track 1)

I seen her walking, she was all alone I said can I help you with that load? I don’t know what it is But you’ve been a makin’ me smile You make me feel just like a little child Oh won’t you walk with me Just for eternity You seem to make me smile You make me feel like a little child They talk of this feelin’ But sometimes ya never know It’s gonna craw up beside you and never let go Yea, once in a lifetime you’ll begin to fly Some never come down Others just ask why Hey won’t ya fly with me Into eternity You’re all I want to know I’m just gonna keep on lovin you more and more She looked at me With those big smilin’ eyes This middle aged woman Thought she’d heard every line We’d talked about places so close to the soul We had somethin’ in common We’d lived on the road Oh won’t you live with me Just for eternity I’m never gonna give you them blues I’m gonna keep on wearin’ My walkin’ shoes I thought I had the answers and total peace of mind Then she came along I had to redefine All of my reasons for walkin’ and the life I’d left behind I wanna climb aboard and take just one more ride. Oh won’t you ride with me Just for eternity I love you more every day With you I could never go astray I been a thinkin’ about the way things might have been If she’d chose me instead of him But things aren’t always the way you want them to be But this is as close to love as I’ve ever seen Hey why’d ya give me the blues? What about them walkin’ shoes? I’m never gonna give ya them blues.

Take Hold (Track 2)

I’ve had all the nightmares I’m still awakin’ from bad dreams You know silence is golden But now it frightens me I got your message I got it loud and clear This fool that you’ve forsaken Has realized his worst fears Take hold of your dreams Take hold of me You know time, it ain’t constant It gets shorter by the year Your love it was the magic that made my word appear No, life it don’t come easy when you lost most of your dreams Ya can’t order more from those fancy uptown magazines Take hold of a dream Take hold of me Life goes on I’m headin’ out there again I’m gonna count myself lucky if I can find one friend I spent most of a lifetime on your and love’s dream I just hope someone’s out there Lookin’ for some fool like me Take hold of a dream Take hold of me Life, it’s got it’s angles The highway’s got its bends Your love is like a shooting star It just winked out again But love is a gift, it can make your life whole But I’ve traveled this timeline And now I’m left all alone

My Time With You (Track 3)

Time it’s an endless highway It’s comin’ thru And I was on that highway Until I met you Cuz I’m in love with you I’m needin’ for all my life I wanna be with you Until my time is thru Well I’ll only be wastin’ My time with you Life, it has a funny old way of It can drag you down But when you find love In life you’ll drown Cuz I’m in love with you I’m needin’ for all my life I wanna be with you Until my time is thru Well I’ll only be wastin’ All my time with you Dawn, it’s a new mornin’ With all the sights and sounds But they wouldn’t mean nothin’ Without you around I’m in love with you I’m needin’ for all my life I wanna be with you Until my time is thru Well I’ll only be wastin’ All my time with you Until my time is thru Well I’ll only be wastin’ All my time with you

Remember The Days (Track 4)

I remember those days I had freedom on my mind I had a pretty woman Makin’ love all of the time But she went away and left me Lord, didn’t leave me a dime 14 years on a hard rock drivin’ mine I had a pretty woman Ah, she helped pass my time Them dollars I was savin’ Gonna ease me and mine. Woke up one mornin’, alone in my bed Looked for a note and in it’s what it said It says I’m a leavin’ ya Oh satisfaction bound Well I picked my twelve-boy Lord, I just blew her man down I remember the days I had freedom on my mind I had a pretty woman Lovin’ her all of the time But she went away and left me Turned her back and walked a straight line Well now I sit all alone in my cell Death row, going’ straight to hell There’s a hangman, he says he’s got a rope stretched just for me By this time tomorrow, I’ll just be history.

Into Reality (Track 5)

I’m lovin’ you babys, In the most peculiar way Why you make my night dreams So much better than my day When we’re alone I get this total peace of mind I’ve been a lovin’ you this way baby, most all of the time I’d give up my soul if you would come true I’d come over to your side baby if you could get me thru When we’re together ya know the sun’s always gone down Why, just the thought of you brings me to the strangest ground I want you this way, you know I want to be in your dreams I know that you’re out there baby waitin’ just for me Won’t you tell me lady, what you want to be Maybe I could change some and become your fantasy. Won’t you tell me on your own All about the future that you hold Or maybe you’re really just on my mind Or maybe you’re really just too dagoned hard to define You’ve taken the fun out of every wakeful day I don’t talk to no one now I wouldn’t know what to say I’m a keepin’ my eyes closed most all of the time I hope to catch a glimpse of you baby, an image that’s so fine Now I’ve taken’ to paintin’ pictures of my memories I got an image of a night dream that always includes me Won’t you tell me just how it feels, to be imagined into the world Ya got no regrets, ya got no memories; No expectations baby, ya got no responsibilities Now we’ve all had an image of something that’s so fine Gonna tell you the truth buddy, I already got mine I don’t need your lotto, don’t to own those big hotels I don’t need to be a number one in some big time show and tell Cuz I got you baby and that’s all right with me Ya stepped out of my dreams and into reality.

Into Reality (Track 6 - electro edit)

Daddy (Track 7)

Daddy tell me a story bout this wonderous land The way the Indians were slaughtered by the white man’s hand Or the one bout his fishin’ rights Hey reservations are the red man’s plight I got to know what way to go I need the truth, gonna lightin’ my load Oh tell me daddy bout the black revolt. Rioting students, Cambodian assaults Or the one bout their freedom of speech Young people died on our campus streets And now that brings us to the National Guard Professional killers in my back yard Just who’s to blame? What’s the name of this game? And the man just said ……… nothin’. Then there’s the one bout our rise and fall Yea 1980’s, Lord I read them all “Well now son”, I just heard him say “Keep your nose clean boy, troubles blow away” Well now I know just who started the game. Daddy you’re the one. You raised me to blame. How can you say, “yea, that’s my boy.” When you don’t agree with the things I employ.

Lonesome Planet (Track 8)

His name is Leonard Oscar and in many a year of his life He sang of the day when he’d be on his way Buy his life, death couldn’t find His friends all around him soon passed away And when they did, you could hear Oscar play Oh why, oh why do you deny me the truth I’d find in dyin’ I’m a globe so old I got a heart and a soul Sometimes I think that if man had his way, he’d sooner see me die He digs my soul, Lord he burns me in the stove He buries me in the sky So think about me When you ban your nuclear weapons please Keep jumpin’ oil on the sea Keep dumpin’ oil all over me Tomorrow is a long, long road. Today will never grow old. My power’s so strong I could darken your dawn But my life must go on So think about me When you ban your nuclear weapons please Keep dumpin’ oil on the sea Keep dumpin’ oil all over me Be my epitaph, can’t you see? Man, be the death of me.

Swampy (Track 9)

I went out for a walk out in the woods There was evidence of man everywhere I stood I spotted a fence line to my surprise There stood a tall lean figure with deep set eyes Well it shook me a bit, I thought I was alone I said “hey old timer is that your home?” Well he invited me in to take a drink of his wine I had the time It was really good wine He said he’d been alone for a thousand years He didn’t need nobody, but he spoke in tears He spoke of God every now and then He needed his lovin’, he had no friends. Tell me Lord, what cloud is he on? Save some space for my last days’ dawn. Now he says that he was about to die, but he staved off dyin’ til I come by He said he wanted to be buried out behind the shack I didn’t leave no marker, he’d like it like that. Well now that’s he’s gone I’m all alone Can’t face the thought of old Swampy’s home Livin’ off the land and old memories Now here was a man that’s stronger than most Lived without fear, had a handful of hope I’ll never forget the way he spoke of death, Like it was some reward instead of a debt. Tell me Lord, what cloud is he on? Won’t ya save some space for my last days’ dawn. If I get there, I know you’ll be there Won’t ya hang on Swampy, because I care.

Pretty Picture (Track 10)

Woke up one mornin’, to some cold facts of life It’s taken us forever, now we’re not alright Intense perception of a reality Our minds are closed. What do you see? Do you feel that sunrise? How the days unfold I feel the wind blow Makes my son grow old Can’t smell those flowers Ya hear that rustlin’ in the trees This sound of silence That’s my symphony The secret of survival They taught us tooth and claw Now mutualism binds us Just like the mortar in my wall We let tomorrow compromise today I know the toys are precious They take our breath away It’s just that heartbeat holds life from death Organic hardware keeps on a pumpin’ my breath What was in the beginnin’ Could have brought us to this day They say survival of the fittest We traded that away Now we’re hundled in a corner, an eternity Hid deep in the mire of our destiny There’s that pretty picture We’ve got it hangin’ on the wall Interestin’ abstraction I think it says it all

In Your Eyes (Track 11)

Fifty white stars on a field of blue Red and white strips protectin’ me and you I mean every word with a tear in my eye I love my country, I love walkin’ the times You ask me can I be true? Oh Mother Nature, you know I always did love you I love walkin’ on God’s green Earth I want to reap your harvest, I’d love to quench my thirst I got a thirst so rare like I never had It’s made me wonder, it’s made me sad It took many years just to make me see The many great wonders Mother Nature left for me It’s like every story I ever heard told When they’re young, you wish they was old Ya give ‘em a lot and ya make ‘em fat They grow out of the house and they walk on your hats You give ‘em every chance to make good Well, I know you would help them, momma, you’d help them if you could. There’s only one thing I want you to do Won’t ya think about me in relation to you I can just see you out there laughin’ with a grin Yer thinkin’ about the way man began But I think you understand what I’m tryin’ to say Because if ya don’t, ya know, we’ll make you our slave Then comes the day when it’s the end of the line You killed half a million without even tryin’ You’d think they’d hear what you’re tryin’ to say But they ignor their fate, they just live for today. Oh mother nature, where did we go wrong? Won’tcha take a look around you momma, make right our wrongs There’s only one thing you must realize You’re the one that made us in your eyes And you’re the one that fed us a lot Ya gimme a reason and taught me to walk So Mother Nature when the end is clear Won’t cha take my life lightly and replace it with your tear.
